Lizzie Tear

 

Lizzie Tear is one of the UK's most prolific voice-over artists with an instantly recognisable soft sultry voice and a reputation for faultless professionalism.

Although she started her working life as a model, much of Lizzie's career has been spent in the music industry. At the age of fifteen while she was working as a shop assistant in the fashion store the World's End, she was spotted by the owner and top designer, Vivienne Westwood. She was soon modelling full-time for Westwood and other major designers including Malcolm McLaren, John Paul Gaultier and John Galiano.

Lizzie's father was a professional opera singer and Lizzie inherited his amazing voice, achieving her grade eight in opera when she was eighteen.

Her music career took off in 1984 when she was signed as a solo artist by the record label EMI. Dividing her time between the UK and New York where she worked alongside Arthur Baker, the Beastie Boys, David Kovorkiam and William Orbit. She was also much in demand for her music and modelling talents by video producers and starred in videos for Boy George, Africa Bambaata and UB40 and in theng credits to The Tube.

Lizzie spent much of the next five years in Jamaica where she recorded solo tracks on the dance and reggae scene.
She settled back in England in 1995 and is one of our most successful voices, known for campaigns such as Ford, Vauxhall, Wrigley's, Pantene, Boots, Sainsburys, Breathe.com, Ice White, Dr Pepper, Options and American Express.

Recently Lizzie presented "020" a new late-night entertainment show for LWT.

Lizzie has a wicked sense of humour, this with her striking face and voice make her an unforgettable person to work with.
