Magenta Devine

"Sunglasses wearer of the year" 1997

Best known for her trademark dark hair and dark glasses, Magenta De Vine made her television debut presenting current affairs shows for young people from 1987-1990. "Network 7" on Channel 4 and "Reportage" on BBC 2 were both highly influential shows, praised for their innovative style, including live studio debates and uncompromising interviews.
It was "The Rough Guide" on BBC 2 that really launched Magenta. She wrote and presented the show, which was a completely new take on the traditional travel documentary. During its time on air it won many awards and a much wider audience than the 16-25 year olds that it was originally intended for.
Magenta is not just a presenter. She is always keen to help with other areas of production- script writing, style and content, ideas for guests or topics- her input creates an individual style that makes her popular and unique.
Magenta is a a very successful journalist and has written for The Guardian, Daily Express, Daily Mail, Tatler, Cosmopolitan and Red Magazine. She also wrote a monthly travel feature for Thomas Cook which was syndicated nationally through the local press.
Over the last couple of years, Magenta's radio career has flourished. She is currently presenting a film show on the World Service and has recently finished "Hayes on Sunday", on Radio 5 where she conducted live interviews on current affairs which were aired alongside her own pre-recorded news reports.
Magenta's husky voice makes her hot property on the voice over market. She has been the voice of Peugeot 106, Tampax, Now Magazine, Johnson and Johnson, Toyota, The Times, Motorola and the Channel 4 show "Wanted".
From National TV to Corporate Video she is known for her original journalism and her exceptional presenting and interview style. She's in constant demand for Radio shows, reviews and documentaries and in recognition of her achievements, was appointed a special UN Ambassador in 1998. Whatever the project Magenta will be sure to have an interesting and informative way of approaching it and will guarantee the sort of flair, enthusiasm and dedication that makes directors come back again and again and again. . .
