Mik Scarlet
Mik began his presenting
career on the groundbreaking Channel 4 children's TV series Beat
That which won many awards, including an Emmy in 1992 which
led to Mik being voted "Children's TV Presenter of the Year
'92". He then started his eight-year collaboration with
the BBC's Disability Programs Unit by presenting their From
The Edge and Over The Edge series. During this time
he also presented the Children's BBC poetry show Wham, Bam,
Strawberry Jam, which ran for two series.
Mik has continued his acting
career by appearing in The Bill, 2.4 Children,
a comedy called Inmates and a BBC version of The Tempest.
Mik has also presented for local TV shows throughout the UK and
America and presented a series of music items for Tomorrow's
World. He has also just been offered the lead in the Universal
Pictures feature film The Chairman.
Mik has also worked in radio, recording items for Radio 4's You
and Yours, Does He Take Sugar? and Woman's Hour
among others. Last year Mik co-hosted the James Whale Show
for Talk Radio to great acclaim.
Recently, Mik has become
a well know club DJ, working regularly at Club UK and the Electric
Ballroom. He also runs his own successful night, "Club Eroticis"
at various venues. Mik has just completed a documentary series
for BBC London on the history of rock music, while presenting
a popular show on Total Rock FM.
