Born and raised in London, Sean's broadcast career began in 1983. After completing a course at the National Broadcasting School, he joined Brighton music station Southern Sound Radio as a Trainee Presenter. Rolling out of bed at 3am, Sean worked his way up from the graveyard shift to present a daily primetime show. Three years later he moved on to Radio 210 in the Thames Valley to present the PM Drive sequence, before leaving the UK in 1988 to join the British Forces Broadcasting Service in Cyprus as presenter of the mid-morning show. Following a posting to BFBS Gibraltar, Sean returned to the UK in 1989 to present a late-night show broadcast across the BFBS Network to listeners in Germany, Gibraltar, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Belize, Brunei & The Falkland Islands. In 1991 he became co-presenter & producer of BFBS Worldwide - a daily music magazine show broadcast live around the globe on both BFBS and the BBC World Service, and across the UK on BBC Radio 5. It was there that his unique character and versatility was exposed to the full - grilling politicians, news-makers, celebrities and callers alike on the daily Breakfast Show. Remaining with the station for almost four years, Sean's phone-in show on the morning of Princess Diana's death helped earn Talk Radio a prestigious Gold Award at the 1998 New York Radio Festival. In 1998 Sean joined London music station Liberty Radio to present the daily PM Drive show and soon hit the headlines after conducting the world's first live interview in more than twenty years with reclusive pop legend Michael Jackson.
